Junior Lighter, Senior Compositor Reel (May-June 2026)

Features a past "Renderman Art Challenge" personal project that I've tweaked to showcase my lighting-rendering skills.

00:00 – Title Card. Nuke. – Rainbow background from Charlie’s Colorform’s City, E.05.08. 

00:01 – Prey 2022. Nuke. – Only the CC as a creative note to make the blood read more red. Expanding Roto-mask to reveal blood puddle. 

00:06 – Prey 2022. Nuke. – Apply metallic highlights to wounds. Clean-up around hands and green blood splatter. The full integration (arm, hand, blood) was by another compositor. 

 00:07 – Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania 2023. Nuke. – Match lead compositor’s key shot set-up for pink character, Veb. Background glow, Roto cut-out on FG screen-left arm. 

00:08 – Caillou S1.E23. 2024. Nuke. – Frame to frame pose Roto-shape to reveal Gilbert from the dark alley. Grade BG set elements. 

00:12 – Snow White 2025. Nuke. – Match key shot look of stained-glass glow. Cut-out colour shapes to grade, use tracking to apply the fix. Despill green cast on FG floor, lantern, clothing. 

00:21 – Little People S2.E11. 2018. Maya, Renderman, Nuke. – Used surrounding shots to make solo passes of 3D firefly trails. Apply these renders as alpha on cards. Match live-action references for glow timing and look. 

00:28 – Caillou S1.E5. 2024. Nuke. – Create paint shapes with uneven edges and attach them to cards. Apply frame-holds to stick paint strips to the wall following the rolling motion. 

00:31 – F is for Family S4.E1. 2020. Maya, Renderman, PencilPlus. – Render holdout to cut-out interior of vehicle for Sue Murphy. Render windshield sticker, colour and black line passes. 

00:36 – F is for Family S4.E2. 2020. Maya, Renderman, PencilPlus. – Cut-out the bicycle and green vehicle for line art and holdout passes. Match show reference for colours. Setup holdout passes for compositors to place characters inside the vehicle. 

00:41 – Jim Hensen's Doozers S2.E10. 2018. Nuke, Maya. – Render rocks for Nuke particle system. Apply the dusty plume. Grade. 

00:45 – Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania 2023. Nuke. – Update script with CG-suit render, Grade goo at neck to match the chin, and clean-up at the neck. Paint-out plate to remove the body. QC includes black/white levels. 

00:48 – Inspector Gadget S2.E211. 2018. Photoshop, Nuke. – Roto-lightening shapes drawn and timed on-off using Echo-node. Apply skeleton plate. Glow. Match look of the reoccurring treatment from S2.E201. 

00:50 – Jim Hensen's Doozers S2.E9. 2018. Maya, Nuke. – Sand poofs follow locators constrained to surfboards. Adapted from ‘Molly’s jetpack,’ used throughout S2. Grade to match BG sand, applied gravity/wind. 

00:53 – Charlie’s Colorforms City S1.E8. 2019. Nuke. – Create a hero solo moment with glow, blur. Re-time of 2D Harmony “shapes” renders. 

00:55 – Little People S2.E15. 2018. Nuke, Maya. – Interactive bubbles clinging to the scrubbers made in Maya. Rain & the bubbles flying through the sliding door are Nuke particles based on S2.E2. 

01:00 – Renderman Art Challenge, 2022. Maya, Renderman, Nuke. – Light set and character, Create and integrate embers, smoke plume, basic glows, flower petals for an overall atmospheric look. Textures of set, props, and character, with the exception of the eyes and hair. 

01:06 – Title card. Nuke. – Rainbow background from Charlie’s Colorform’s City, E.05.08.
